- Eliminator concept
- Eliminator conducts multi-event sweepstakes called Games.
- Each Game is based on a set of two (2) or more Events.
- Events are declared sporting events e.g. a horse race, a soccer match.
- Each Event has two (2) or more possible Outcomes.
- The combination of Events and Outcomes in a Game is used to create the Ticket Pool.
- In a Game’s Ticket Pool:
- There is one (1) unique Ticket for every possible combination of Outcomes.
- No two Tickets describe the same combination of outcomes i.e. all of the Tickets in the Ticket Pool are unique.
- Players enter a Game by purchasing Tickets using free Eliminator Credits (refer section 5C Purchase from Ticket Pool)
- On every Ticket there is a description of the Outcome, or Bracket, assigned to that Ticket for each and every one of the Game’s Events.
- Events in a Game are resulted according to the Official Results (refer section 5G Resulting Events).
- As each Event in the Game is resulted:
- All Tickets in the Game that correctly describe the winning Outcome in that Event survive to the next Event in the Game.
- If a Ticket describes a Bracket (i.e. a group of Outcomes) in that Event, the Ticket will survive to the next Event in the Game if any Outcome in that Bracket is a winning Outcome.
- All Tickets in the Game that failed to describe the winning Outcome are eliminated (i.e. knocked-out) from the Game, including:
- Tickets owned by Players
- Tickets in the Game’s Ticket Pool
- After resulting the final Event in the Game, excluding Games in which there is a dead-heat result or an abandoned Event, only one Ticket will survive and remain In-Play. This Ticket is the Winning Ticket.
- A Game in which there are Dead-Heats and/or Abandoned Events will result in multiple Winning Tickets (refer section 5G Resulting Events).
- The Winning Ticket is paid the Grand Prize, depending on the Game’s prize payment rules, which may also include the payment of Consolation Prizes (refer section 5I Paying Prizes).

- Eliminator betting rules
- Game Type
Free-to-Play (F2P)
- Eliminator F2P games:
- Are conducted under approval provided by the GGB.
- Require a Player to have an active TAB 4Racing Account or a registered Eliminator account.
- Are played with a F2P Wallet and a F2P currency referred to as Eliminator Credits.
- Eliminator Credits:
- Are automatically credited to a Player’s F2P Wallet by Eliminator when they first view a F2P Game, according to the Game Rules.
- Can only be used to purchase Tickets in a F2P Game.
- Have no value outside of Eliminator.
- Cannot be redeemed or transferred.
- Cannot be paid for with “real money”.
- Eliminator from time to time can, at its absolute discretion, adjust the F2P currency balance in a Player’s F2P wallet.
- 4Racing will provide notice of any such adjustment to a F2P Wallet through the Eliminator websites.
- An Eliminator F2P Game may offer cash and/or non-monetary prizes, as per the Game Rules.
- Prizes in a F2P Game will be paid to Players as per the Eliminator Terms of Use.
Game Entry
- Players join a Game by purchasing tickets.
- Tickets can only be purchased via the 4Racing & Eliminator websites.
- Ticket purchases are funded by Eliminator Credits.
- For the avoidance of doubt, tickets and/or F2P credits are provided for free and cannot be purchased for real money.
- Subject to Ticket availability, Game status, and Game Mode (refer section 5B Game Modes), Players can apply to purchase tickets from the game’s Ticket Pool.
- Tickets from the Ticket Pool are purchased for an advertised, fixed price.
- The ticket purchase price remains fixed up until the start of the next Event.
- The ticket purchase price will increase as each Event is resulted.
- The increase in the purchase price is calculated to reflect the fact that any Ticket now purchased from the Ticket Pool has already survived one or more Events in the Game and therefore has an increased chance of winning.
- The purchase of any Ticket(s) is not complete until the Player receives confirmation of the Ticket purchase on the Eliminator website.
- If a Player is in any doubt at all about the confirmation of a Ticket purchase, they should immediately check their Eliminator account activity for that game.
- Once a ticket purchase is complete it cannot be reversed or cancelled.
- It is solely the Player’s responsibility to verify that all ticket and purchase details are correct prior to confirming their purchase.
- Eliminator reserves the right to decline, limit, suspend, or close the sale of Tickets at any time during a Game, for any or all Players, without notice.
- In the event of a system problem or failure we reserve the right to suspend and/or cancel a game.
- In the event that we suspect an individual Player or group of Players is acting together to manipulate the result of a Game or the market value of tickets, we reserve the right to suspend and/or cancel a game.
- Any such action that results in the suspension or cancellation of a Game would only be taken to preserve the integrity and fairness of the Game for all Players.
- In the event that such circumstances result in the suspension or cancellation of a Game, these Players have no claim to any form of compensation.
- Game Modes
- Eliminator Games can operate in one of two Game Modes: EasyPlay or Challenge.
- The Game Mode is described in the Game Rules and determines the range of in-game transaction options available to the Player.
- In both EasyPlay Mode and Challenge Mode, Players can:
- Purchase tickets directly from the Ticket Pool (refer section 5C Purchase from Ticket Pool), including when made available via Pre-Sale purchase (refer section 5D Pre-Sale Purchase)
- Swap Tickets back into the Ticket Pool (refer section 5E Swap Tickets)
- Purchase from Ticket Pool
- At the start of a Game the Ticket Pool will contain one (1) unique ticket for every possible combination of winning Outcomes. For the sake of clarity:
- no two tickets in the Ticket Pool are the same.
- Tickets in the Ticket Pool, not yet purchased by a Player, are referred to as In-Pool.
- Tickets once purchased by Players are removed from the Ticket Pool and referred to as In-Play.
- Tickets that remain in the Ticket Pool after the start of the final Event are referred to as Unsold.
- When a Player confirms a request to purchase tickets from the Ticket Pool:
- The Player agrees to pay the advertised, fixed price per Ticket, price being expressed as a number of Eliminator Credits.
- The requested number of Tickets are selected from the Ticket Pool at random and issued to the Player.
- The status of the Ticket(s) issued to the Player changes from In-Pool to In-Play.
- The Ticket purchase price is deducted from the Player’s F2P wallet.
- Ownership of the Ticket(s) is transferred to the Player.
- Subject to availability and Game Rules, Tickets can be purchased from the Ticket Pool up to the start of the next Event in the Game.
- Sales from the Ticket Pool will be suspended when an Event starts and whilst ever an Event remains ‘in progress’.
- An Event remains ‘in progress’ until the Official Result is received and processed by Eliminator.
- Subject to Ticket availability and Game Rules, sales from the Ticket Pool will re-open after an Event is resulted, providing that no other Events in that same Game remain ‘in progress’.
- Subject to the status of Events in the Game, sales from the Ticket Pool will continue throughout a Game until:
- All of the tickets in the Ticket Pool have been sold/eliminated; or
- All In-Play tickets have been eliminated; or
- The Game reaches the Event at which the Game Rules disable ticket sales, or the start of the final Event in the Game.
- At both points, the status of all Tickets that remain In-Pool changes to Unsold (refer section 5I Paying Prizes).
- Pre-Sale purchase
- Eliminator may publish and offer certain Games in advance of the day on which the first Event is scheduled to start. e.g. a Turffontein horse racing game to be run on Saturday might be published on the preceding Thursday morning.
- Such games offer the opportunity for Players to ‘order’ and reserve Tickets from the Ticket Pool, referred to in Eliminator as a Pre-Sale Order.
- Pre-sale Orders are placed and paid for in the same way that Tickets are purchased from the Ticket Pool.
- On completing a Pre-sale Order, the Player receives an order receipt for the requested Tickets.
- The Pre-Sale Order is fulfilled, and the requested number of Tickets are issued to the Player, on the day that the first Event is scheduled to start.
- The Tickets in a Pre-Sale Order are issued at random from the Ticket Pool, as per all other Tickets purchased from the Ticket Pool.
- Players are notified that their Pre-Sale Order has been fulfilled and supplied with a link to view their Tickets.
- Swap Tickets
- Swap refers to an option Players have to discard and transfer their current In-Play Tickets back to the Ticket Pool, in exchange for new Tickets from the Ticket Pool.
- The Events during which Swap is available are described to Players in the Game Rules. In any case, the Swap option is not available:
- Whilst an Event in the Game remains ‘in progress’; or
- If the number of Tickets in the Ticket Pool is less than the number of Tickets a Player wants to Swap; or
- If the Player has insufficient funds in their wallet to pay the quoted Swap fee.
- When a Player chooses to Swap their In-Play Ticket(s):
- Based on the Game Rules, the Player may be quoted a Swap fee for the new Ticket(s) that will be drawn from the Ticket Pool.
- If the Player accepts the quoted Swap fee and confirms the request to Swap.
- Each and all of the tickets the Player has requested to Swap will be exchanged for new Tickets, drawn at random from the Ticket Pool.
- Ownership of each new Ticket will be transferred to the Player.
- The status of each new Ticket is changed from In-Pool to In-Play.
- Each of the Player’s old Tickets are then put back into the Ticket Pool, noting that the Player’s old tickets are put back in the Ticket Pool only after the new tickets have been drawn and issued to the Player.
- The status of each Ticket returned back to the Ticket Pool is changed from In-Play to In-Pool.
- Unless the Swap is free the Swap Fee is deducted from the Player’s F2P wallet.
- Once a Swap is completed it cannot be reversed or cancelled.
- It is the Player’s responsibility to verify that all details are correct prior to proceeding with the option to Swap.
- Eliminator can vary the Swap fee and the availability of Swap during the course of a Game, without notice, at its absolute discretion.
- availability & confirmation of transactions
- Depending on the Game Mode, Game Rules, the availability of Tickets, and Event status, once a Game is published Players have the option to conduct in-game transactions referred to in these Eliminator Betting Rules as:
- Purchase Tickets from Ticket Pool
- Pre-Sale Purchase
- Swap Tickets
- Purchase Tickets from TheBank
- Eliminator at its absolute discretion can, at any time, and without notice: limit, decline, suspend, or close any or all of the above-listed options.
- In any case, there is no option to transact while an Event in the Game is ‘in progress’.
- A request to conduct any Eliminator transaction is not complete or valid until the Player receives confirmation via the Eliminator website.
- The Player is solely responsible for ensuring that the transaction details are correct at the time of requesting and agreeing to the transaction.
- The availability of Tickets in a Game is dynamic and cannot be guaranteed.
- Players in a Game may at any time be simultaneously contemplating transaction options that, if completed, will impact the availability of Tickets for all other Players in the Game.
- Requests are processed by Eliminator at the time a Player confirms the transaction option, on a strict first-come, first-served basis.
- Eliminator cannot guarantee that a competing request relating to any of these transaction options can be completed as requested.
- In the Event that a Player’s request cannot be completed, Eliminator will cancel the request and return an error message to the Player.
- Once a transaction is completed it cannot be reversed or cancelled.
- If a Player is in any doubt whatsoever as to whether a Eliminator transaction has been successfully completed, they should immediately check their Eliminator account activity for that game.
- Given we provide no guarantee as to the availability of these transaction options, or that, due to the dynamic nature of the game we cannot guarantee that a transaction request can be completed as requested, Eliminator will not be held liable for any losses or damage incurred due to:
- the unavailability of any of these transaction options; and/or
- the failure to complete a transaction request.
- You agree to fully indemnify 4Racing Proprietary Limited and hold us harmless from and against all and any losses, costs, expenses, claims, demands, liabilities and damages however caused that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of your
- use of Eliminator
- acceptance of any winnings
- any breach of the Terms.
- Resulting events
- A Game consists of two (2) or more Events
- Eliminator will set an Event as ‘in progress’ at the actual start of an Event, or in the absence of reliable information, at:
- the advertised start time; or
- any time deemed necessary by Eliminator to protect the integrity of the Game.
- An Event will remain ‘in-progress’ until such time as the Official Result for the Event is received, confirmed, and processed by Eliminator.
- Eliminator will process Official Results in the sequence they are received. This may differ from the sequence described on the Ticket.
- You agree to fully indemnify 4Racing Proprietary Limited and hold us harmless from and against all and any losses, costs, expenses, claims, demands, liabilities and damages however caused that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of a delay in receipt, confirmation, and/or processing of Official Results.
- On receipt of the Official Result, one (1) of the Outcomes in the Event will be designated as the winning Outcome
- In the case that an Event in the game results in a dead-heat or tie, two (2) or more Outcomes in the Event will be designated as winning Outcomes.
- In the case that an Event in a game is abandoned, all Outcomes in the Event will be designated as winning Outcomes.
- In the case of two (2) or more Events in a game are abandoned, the game will be cancelled.
- Eliminator will refer to information from the Event’s governing body or official website for confirmation of abandoned events.
- Any Event that is postponed to a starting time beyond the expected time of resulting the final Event, may be treated as an abandoned Event, at the absolute discretion of Eliminator.
- This includes postponed Events for which there is no advice of an amended starting time, at the time of starting the final Event.
- In the case of an official result for an Event is declared as an Outcome not originally listed as a possible Outcome, each and all Outcomes in the Event will be designated as a winning Outcome.
- Based on the winning Outcome(s) in an Event, Eliminator will then:
- Eliminate from the Game all Tickets that failed to describe the winning Outcome(s).
- Unless the Event was the final Event in the Game:
- Recalculate the Ticket value of all remaining In-Play Tickets.
- Subject to availability of Tickets and Game Rules, recalculate the purchase price for Tickets purchased from the Ticket Pool.
- This purchase price will then be advertised and fixed until the start of the next Event in that Game.
- If the Event was the final Event in the Game, Eliminator will settle the game and advise Players of the Prize Payments (refer section 5I Paying Prizes).
- We reserve the right to suspend and/or cancel a Game if we suspect there has been any form of system error in relation to Ticket sales, Ticket Values, or the resulting of Events, including:
- if an Event has been resulted in error, and/or
- if we detect an error in processing the results; and/or
- if we detect an error in eliminating Tickets.
- TICKET Value
Outcome Chance
- During the course of a Game, Eliminator will provide a point-in-time assessment of the chance that an Outcome or Bracket (a group of Outcomes) will win an Event:
- The chance of winning is displayed as a percentage chance.
- For a Bracket, the chance of each Outcome in the Bracket will be summed and displayed as a single, aggregate percentage chance.
- The chance that an Outcome will win an Event is updated periodically throughout the Game.
- The chance that an Outcome will win an Event may fluctuate during a game.
Ticket Value
- During a Game, Eliminator will provide a point-in-time assessment of a Ticket’s Value:
- The Ticket Value is based on the chance that every Outcome described on the Ticket will win, referred to as the Ticket Chance.
- The Ticket Chance is only calculated for In-Play tickets.
- Tickets with a higher Ticket Chance will have a higher Ticket Value.
- Ticket Chance and Ticket Values will fluctuate throughout a game as:
- More tickets from the Ticket Pool become In-Play.
- Outcome prices fluctuate.
- Events are resulted and Tickets get eliminated.
- Eliminator provides an assessment of Outcome Chances and Ticket Values purely as market-based guide to the relative merit of Outcomes and Tickets.
- Players can view Ticket values at any time during a Game and prior to making decisions regarding transaction options to Swap and/or Purchase Tickets.
- You agree to fully indemnify 4Racing Proprietary Limited and hold us harmless from and against all and any losses, costs, expenses, claims, demands, liabilities and damages however caused that may arise directly or indirectly from your use of information relating to Outcome Chance and/or Ticket Value.
Game Leaderboard
- The Game Leaderboard is an Eliminator display of the Top X In-Play Tickets in a Game, ranked in descending order, according to the last calculation of current Ticket Values, where X is a number set by Eliminator e.g. the Top 40 tickets.
- For each Ticket displayed the Game Leaderboard will show:
- The Player that currently owns the Ticket.
- The current Ticket Value.
- Tickets on the Leaderboard can be selected to show:
- The Ticket’s Outcomes.
- The Ticket’s ownership and transaction history.
- On resulting the final Event in a Game, the Leaderboard will list the Tickets in the Game that won a prize and the prize details.
- Paying Prizes
- A Game is settled when the Official Result for the final Event in the Game has been received, confirmed, and processed by Eliminator (refer 5G Resulting Events).
- A Game is settled, and prizes paid, according to the Game’s prize payment rules, which can be viewed in the Game Rules on the Eliminator website.
- Prize payment rules are set and fixed by Eliminator at the time a Game is published:
- Grand Prize , paid to the game’s winning ticket. Unless otherwise stated, the Grand Prize is not paid out if the game’s winning ticket is Unsold.
- Consolation Prize, paid to the game’s consolation tickets. Unless otherwise stated, the Consolation Prize is typically a fixed number of Eliminator Credits that can be used by the Player in future games.
- For the purposes of prize payment:
- A winning ticket is a an In-Play Ticket that describes, in an unbroken sequence, the winning Outcome in every Event in the Game, commencing with the winning Outcome in the first Event.
- A consolation ticket is an In-Play Ticket that describes, in an unbroken sequence, the next highest number of winning Outcomes in the Game, commencing with the winning Outcome in the first Event of the Game.
- A consolation ticket does not describe every winning outcome in the Game.
- The unbroken sequence of Events required by both the winning and consolation tickets, is the sequence of Events as described on the Ticket, starting with the first-listed Event and finishing with the final Event in the Game.
