Eliminator Concept

  1. Eliminator conducts multi-event sweepstakes called Games.
  2. Each Game is based on a set of two (2) or more Events.
    1. Events are declared sporting events e.g. a horse race, a soccer match.
    2. Each Event has two (2) or more possible Outcomes.
  3. The combination of Events and Outcomes in a Game is used to create a Ticket Pool.
  4. In a Game’s Ticket Pool:
    1. There is one (1) unique Ticket for every possible combination of Outcomes.
    2. No two Tickets describe the same combination of outcomes i.e. all of the Tickets in the Ticket Pool are unique.
  5. Players enter a Game by purchasing Tickets using a virtual currency called Eliminator Credits.
  6. On every Ticket there is a description of the Outcome or Bracket assigned to that Ticket in each and every one of the Game’s Events.
  7. Events in a Game are resulted according to the Official Results.
  8. As each Event in the Game is resulted:
    1. All Tickets in the Game that correctly describe the winning Outcome in that Event survive to the next Event in the Game.
      • If a Ticket describes a Bracket i.e. a group of Outcomes in that Event, the Ticket will survive if any Outcome in that Bracket is a winning Outcome.
    2. All Tickets in the Game that failed to describe the winning Outcome are eliminated (i.e. knocked-out) from the Game, including:
      • In-Play Tickets, owned by Players
      • In-Pool Tickets, in the Game’s Ticket Pool
  9. After resulting the final Event in the Game only one Ticket will remain In-Play. This Ticket is the Winning Ticket.
    1. The Winning Ticket is paid the Grand Prize.
      • A Game in which there are Dead-Heats and/or Abandoned Events will result in multiple Winning Tickets, in wich case the Grand Prize is shared.
    2. Depending on the Game Rules, Consolation Prizes will also be paid.

Eliminator Betting Rules

Free-to-Play Eliminator Games (F2P)

  1. Eliminator F2P games are conducted under approval provided by the GGB. Games:
    1. Require a Player to have an active TAB 4Racing Account or a registered Eliminator account.
    2. Are played with a virtual F2P currency referred to as Eliminator Credits.
  2. Eliminator Credits are a F2P virtual currency.
    1. Eliminator Credits
      • have no value or utility outside of Eliminator F2P games;
      • cannot be exchanged or redeemed for anything of value outside of Eliminator games;
      • cannot be purchased or acquired, other than via the Eliminator game mechanics.
    2. All references to "buy" and "purchase" in Eliminator F2P games mean the exchange of Eliminator Credits for game tickets.
    3. All references to "refund" in Eliminator F2P games means the return of Eliminator Credits that were used to purchase game tickets.
    4. Eliminator Credits are automatically awarded to an Entrant’s F2P wallet at the time they first view a new game.
      • The number of Eliminator Credits to be awarded can be viewed in the Game Rules.
      • Entrants that fail to view a F2P game prior to that game’s conclusion will not receive Eliminator Credits for that game.
    5. Subject to ticket availability and Game Rules, Entrants can use Eliminator Credits to purchase tickets in a game.
    6. Unused Eliminator Credits and/or Eliminator Credits won as a Consolation Prize, will accumulate in the Entrant's F2P wallet throughout the Promotion Period.
    7. From time to time, the Promoter may choose to:
      • Reset the balance of all Entrants’ F2P wallets, by removing all accumulated Eliminator Credits.
        • At the conclusion of the Promotion, all Eliminator Credits will be removed from every Entrants' F2P wallet.
      • Offer Entrants bonus Eliminator Credits and/or bonus tickets.
      • Bonus offers and adjustmemts to F2P wallet balances will be communicated on advance to Entrants at tab.co.za and eliminator.co.za.
  3. An Eliminator F2P Game may offer cash and/or non-monetary prizes, as per the Game Rules.
  4. All prizes in a F2P Game will be paid to Players as per the Eliminator Terms.

Game Entry

  1. Subject to Ticket availability and Game Status, Players join a Game by purchasing tickets from the Ticket Pool with Eliminator Credits.
    1. Tickets can only be purchased via the 4Racing & Eliminator websites.
  2. Tickets from the Ticket Pool are purchased for an advertised, fixed price - price being expressed in Eliminator Credits.
    1. The ticket purchase price remains fixed up until the start of the next event.
      • The ticket purchase price will increase as each Event is resulted.
      • The increase in the ticket purchase price is calculated to reflect the fact that any Ticket now purchased from the Ticket Pool has already survived one or more Events in the Game and therefore has an increased chance of winning.
    2. The ticket purchase price remains fixed up until the start of the next Event.
  3. The purchase of any Ticket(s) is not complete until the Player receives confirmation of the Ticket purchase on the Eliminator website.
    1. If a Player is in any doubt at all about the confirmation of a Ticket purchase, they should immediately check their Eliminator account activity for that game.
  4. Once a ticket purchase is complete it cannot be reversed or cancelled.
    1. It is solely the Player’s responsibility to verify that all ticket and purchase details are correct prior to confirming their purchase.
  5. Eliminator reserves the right to decline, limit, suspend, or close the sale of Tickets at any time during a Game, for any or all Players, without notice.
  6. In the event of a system problem or failure, 4Racing reserves the right to suspend and/or cancel a game.
  7. In the event that we suspect an individual Player or group of Players is acting together to manipulate the result of a Game or the market value of tickets, we reserve the right to suspend and/or cancel a game.
    1. Any such action that results in the suspension or cancellation of a Game would only be taken to preserve the integrity and fairness of the Game for all Players.
    2. In the event that such circumstances result in the suspension or cancellation of a Game, these Players have no claim to any form of compensation.

Purchase from Ticket Pool

  1. At the start of a Game the Ticket Pool will contain one (1) unique ticket for every possible combination of winning Outcomes. For the sake of clarity:
    1. no two tickets in the Ticket Pool are the same.
  1. Tickets in the Ticket Pool are referred to as In-Pool.
    1. Tickets that are purchased by Players are removed from the Ticket Pool and referred to as In-Play.
    2. Tickets that remain in the Ticket Pool after the start of the final Event are referred to as Unsold.
  2. When a Player confirms a request to purchase tickets from the Ticket Pool:
    1. The Player agrees to pay the advertised, fixed price per Ticket, price being expressed as a number of Eliminator Credits.
    2. The requested number of Tickets are selected from the Ticket Pool at random and issued to the Player.
    3. The status of the Ticket(s) issued to the Player changes from In-Pool to In-Play.
    4. The Ticket purchase price is deducted from the Player’s F2P wallet.
    5. Ownership of the Ticket(s) is transferred to the Player.
  3. Subject to availability and Game Rules, Tickets can be purchased from the Ticket Pool up to the start of the next Event in the Game.
  4. Sales from the Ticket Pool are suspended when an Event starts and whilst ever an Event remains ‘in progress’.
    1. An Event remains ‘in progress’ until the Official Result is received and processed by Eliminator.
  5. Subject to Ticket availability and Game Rules, sales from the Ticket Pool will re-open after an Event is resulted, providing that no other Events in that same Game remain ‘in progress’.
  6. Subject to the status of Events in the Game, sales from the Ticket Pool will continue throughout a Game until:
    1. All of the tickets in the Ticket Pool have been sold/eliminated; or
    2. All In-Play tickets have been eliminated; or
    3. The Game reaches the Event at which the Game Rules disable ticket sales, or the start of the final Event in the Game.
      • At both points, the status of all Tickets that remain In-Pool changes to Unsold (refer section 5I Paying Prizes).

Pre-Sale Ticket Purchase

  1. Eliminator may publish and offer certain Games in advance of the day on which the first Event is scheduled to start. e.g. a Turffontein horse racing game to be run on Saturday might be published on the preceding Thursday morning.
  2. Such games offer the opportunity for Players to ‘order’ and reserve Tickets from the Ticket Pool, referred to in Eliminator as a Pre-Sale Order.
  3. Pre-sale Orders are placed and paid for in the same way that Tickets are purchased from the Ticket Pool.
  4. On completing a Pre-sale Order, the Player receives an order receipt for the requested Tickets.
  5. The Pre-Sale Order is fulfilled, and the requested number of Tickets are issued to the Player, on the day that the first Event is scheduled to start.
    1. The Tickets in a Pre-Sale Order are issued at random from the Ticket Pool, as per all other Tickets purchased from the Ticket Pool.
  6. Players are notified that their Pre-Sale Order has been fulfilled and supplied with a link to view their Tickets.

Swap Tickets

  1. Swap refers to an option Players have to discard and transfer their current In-Play Tickets back to the Ticket Pool, in exchange for new Tickets from the Ticket Pool.
  2. The Events during which Swap is available are described to Players in the Game Rules. In any case, the Swap option is not available:
    1. Whilst an Event in the Game remains ‘in progress’; or
    2. If the number of Tickets in the Ticket Pool is less than the number of Tickets a Player wants to Swap; or
    3. If the Player has insufficient funds in their wallet to pay the quoted Swap fee.
  3. When a Player chooses to Swap their In-Play Ticket(s):
    1. Unless the Swap is free, the Player will be quoted a Swap fee for the new Ticket(s) that will be drawn from the Ticket Pool.
    2. If the Player accepts the quoted Swap fee and confirms the request to Swap the Swap Fee is deducted from the Player’s F2P wallet.
      • Every ticket that the Player has chosen to Swap will be exchanged for new Tickets, drawn at random from the Ticket Pool.
      • Ownership of each new Ticket will be transferred to the Player.
      • The status of each new Ticket is changed from In-Pool to In-Play.
      • Each of the Player’s old Tickets are then returned to the Ticket Pool, noting that the Player’s old tickets are returned to the Ticket Pool after the new tickets have been drawn and issued to the Player.
      • The status of each Ticket returned back to the Ticket Pool is changed from In-Play to In-Pool.
  4. Eliminator can vary the Swap fee and the availability of Swap during the course of a Game, without notice, at its absolute discretion.
  5. Once a Swap is completed it cannot be reversed or cancelled.

Availability and Confirmation of Transactions

  1. Depending on the Game Mode, Game Rules, the availability of Tickets, and Event status, once a Game is published Players have the option to conduct in-game transactions referred to in these Eliminator Betting Rules as:
    1. Purchase Tickets from Ticket Pool
    2. Pre-Sale Purchase
    3. Swap Tickets
  1. Eliminator at its absolute discretion can, at any time, and without notice: limit, decline, suspend, or close any or all of the above-listed options.
    1. In any case, there is no option to transact while an Event in the Game is ‘in progress’.
  2. A request to conduct any Eliminator transaction is not complete or valid until the Player receives confirmation via the Eliminator website.
  3. The Player is solely responsible for ensuring that the transaction details are correct at the time of requesting and agreeing to the transaction.
  4. The availability of Tickets in a Game is dynamic and cannot be guaranteed.
    1. Eliminator cannot guarantee that a competing request relating to any of these transaction options can be completed as requested.
    2. In the Event that a Player’s request cannot be completed, Eliminator will cancel the request and return an error message to the Player.
    1. Players in a Game may at any time be simultaneously contemplating transaction options that, if completed, will impact the availability of Tickets for all other Players in the Game.
    2. Requests are processed by Eliminator at the time a Player confirms the transaction option, on a strict first-come, first-served basis.
  5. Once a transaction is completed it cannot be reversed or cancelled.
  6. If a Player is in any doubt whatsoever as to whether a Eliminator transaction has been successfully completed, they should immediately check their Eliminator account activity for that game.
  7. Given we provide no guarantee as to the availability of these transaction options, or that, due to the dynamic nature of the game we cannot guarantee that a transaction request can be completed as requested, Eliminator will not be held liable for any losses or damage incurred due to:
    1. the unavailability of any of these transaction options; and/or
    2. the failure to complete a transaction request.
  8. You agree to fully indemnify 4Racing Proprietary Limited and hold us harmless from  and against all and any losses, costs, expenses, claims, demands, liabilities and damages however caused that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of your

Resulting Events

  1. A Game consists of two (2) or more Events
  2. Eliminator will set an Event as ‘in progress’ at the actual start of an Event, or in the absence of reliable information, at:
    1. the advertised start time; or
    2. any time deemed necessary by Eliminator to protect the integrity of the Game.
  3. An Event will remain ‘in-progress’ until such time as the Official Result for the Event is received, confirmed, and processed by Eliminator.
    1. Eliminator will process Official Results in the sequence they are received. This may differ from the sequence described on the Ticket.
    2. You agree to fully indemnify 4Racing Proprietary Limited and hold us harmless from and against all and any losses, costs, expenses, claims, demands, liabilities and damages however caused that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of a delay in receipt, confirmation, and/or processing of Official Results.
  4. On receipt of the Official Result, one (1) of the Outcomes in the Event will be designated as the winning Outcome
    1. Eliminator will refer to information from the Event’s governing body or official website for confirmation of abandoned events.
    2. Any Event that is postponed to a starting time beyond the expected time of resulting the final Event, may be treated as an abandoned Event, at the absolute discretion of Eliminator.
      1. This includes postponed Events for which there is no advice of an amended starting time, at the time of starting the final Event.
    1. In the case that an Event in the game results in a dead-heat or tie, two (2) or more Outcomes in the Event will be designated as winning Outcomes.
    2. In the case that an Event in a game is abandoned, all Outcomes in the Event will be designated as winning Outcomes.
    3. In the case of two (2) or more Events in a game are abandoned, the game will be cancelled.
    4. In the case of an official result for an Event is declared as an Outcome not originally listed as a possible Outcome, each and all Outcomes in the Event will be designated as a winning Outcome.
  5. Based on the winning Outcome(s) in an Event, Eliminator will then:
    1. Recalculate the Ticket value of all remaining In-Play Tickets.
    2. Subject to availability of Tickets and Game Rules, recalculate the purchase price for Tickets purchased from the Ticket Pool.
      1. This purchase price will then be advertised and fixed until the start of the next Event in that Game.
    1. Eliminate from the Game all Tickets that failed to describe the winning Outcome(s).
    2. Unless the Event was the final Event in the Game:
    3. If the Event was the final Event in the Game, Eliminator will settle the game and advise Players of the Prize Payments (refer section 5I Paying Prizes).
  6. We reserve the right to suspend and/or cancel a Game if we suspect there has been any form of system error in relation to Ticket sales, Ticket Values, or the resulting of Events, including:
    1. if an Event has been resulted in error, and/or
    2. if we detect an error in processing the results; and/or
    3. if we detect an error in eliminating Tickets.

    2. For a Bracket, the chance of each Outcome in the Bracket will be summed and displayed as a single, aggregate percentage chance.
